“Spain leaves a trace”. Last years this phrase is the official Spanish slogan on the international tourist market. The person, who has just once visited Don Quijote´s native land, really “falls ill” of this country. Romanticists say that some drug, forcing you come back again and again, is sprayed in its air. Spain is a summer direction number one for many Britons, Dutes, Germans and Frenchmen.
Thousands of foreigners consider Spain their second home and have on Mediterranean coast their own apartments or houses. They worry about the health and think of their future. Where, if not in Spain, you can enjoy your earned rest when there is a time to retire.
All Spanish Coasts have their bright personality.
Costa del Sol
Costa del Sol, which means “Sun Coast” in Spanish, is a Southern part of Mediterranean coast, located in autonomous region of Andalusia. The coast conquered the world popularity due to its beaches, magnificent hotels and celebrity’s residences. Summer is hot here, with average temperature about 30-33°С, but swimming season is short, only two-three months because of cold deep waters, which come up to the shore.
Costa Brava
Costa Brava, “Wild coast”, with a centre in Barcelona – cultural, industrial and historical city. There is a lot of rich greens, because it rains quite often in the summer as well as in the winter time. Summer is quite short - in May you can not bathe yet, in October you can not bathe any more. In the winter time snow phenomenon is frequent. Prudent Europeans prefer to settle more Southern: they consider not profitable to buy a property in this area, because the most part of the year you cannot use or lease it.
Costa Blanca
Costa Blanca, is as heterogeneous as all Spain. As to landscape and quality of life Costa Blanca is divided in two sharply different parts - Southern and Northern. On border of section there is a city-airport – Alicante.
Southern Costa Blanca (to the South from Alicante): steppe landscape, poor vegetation. Almost whole Spanish salt’s exctruction industry is concentrated in Torrevieja. Salt land is cheap, and dwellings built up on such plots, moreover with low quality of constuction, are on sale under the low prices – the lowest at the Spanish Mediterranean coast. Such cheapness attracted to Torrevieja a lot of people, looking for work and inexpensive housing accommodation. Redundancy in Torrevieja and the highest crime rate are big problems for Spanish authorities.
Northern Costa Blanca extends from Alicante through the capital city Valencia to Vinaros. Due to spacious fruit plantations this area is known as “gardens of Spain”. A lot of eminent resorts and turistic Mecca of the cost – city of Benidorm, are situated here. Landscape between Benidorm and Javea, where Sierra Bernia mountain approaches the sea, is the most beautiful at the coast. Out of Javea there are hills, rich vendure, a lot of gardens and vineyards and also, historical and cultural monuments. The average winter temperature in Benidorm is + 18,7°С, summer - + 31,7°С. There is a lot of sun during all summer season, rain is rather winter phenomenon. Swimming season lasts from May till November, while sunbathe on the beach you can all year round.
Islands
Balearic Islands are situated in Western part of Mediterranean Sea. Structure of the archipelago includes a number of islands. The biggest of Balear’s islands is Majorca. This is a perfect place for holiday.
Canary Islands, with the main island Tenerife, is the land of eternal spring, where the difference between winter and summer temperatures does not exceed 5°С. You can bath all year round. But it is too remote district of Spain.
